Fiat’s retro 500 supermini goes on sale in January 2008.
Prices for the Fiat 500 start at just £7900.
A top-spec version will cost £10,700.
This positions the Fiat 500 well below its key retro rival, the MINI.
Pricing for the MINI spans £11,625 for a One to over £16,000 for a Cooper S hatchback model.
The Fiat 500 will be available with three engine options:
- 1.2-litre petrol 69bhp
- 1.4-litre petrol 100 bhp
- 1.3-litre MultiJet turbodiesel 75bhp
There is also the choice of three trim levels:
Pop;
Sport;
and Lounge.
Pop standard equipment includes power steering and ABS brakes.
Upgrades to a Sport or Lounge cost £1400. Specification includes air conditioning and alloy wheels.
Like the MINI, there is a long list of options to personalise the Fiat 500.
