TomTom WORK is providing a business car management facility at no additional cost.
It’s a valuable duty of care tool at no charge. And provides health and safety compliance.
TomTom WORK navigation systems will now be able to monitor aspects of a car’s vehicle condition. The system will provide live updates and allow direct communication of alerts to the driver.
The new TomTom WORK facility is called FleetCheck Lite. It follows a tie up between TomTom WORK and FleetCheck.
TomTom WORK is the business division of the TomTom portable navigation company. And FleetCheck is an on-line provider of vehicle management software.
TomTom WORK and FleetCheck Lite will provide small businesses with alerts for:
- vehicle servicing reminders;
- MOT renewal;
- automatic mileage updates
- road fund licence renewal;
- insurance due alert; and
- warranty renewal alerts.
“The integration of these two important systems is a first for the industry,” commented Jeremy Gould, sales manager, TomTom WORK.
“It provides small company directors with important maintenance, safety and compliance information.
“For example, it can log private versus business mileage. This controls mileage expenses and fulfils HMRC requirements. But just as importantly, it will enable small businesses to manage their duty of care responsibilities.”
Peter Golding, managing director of FleetCheck, added: “Here is something that is designed for small businessess rather than the larger fleets. It can work with just two or more vehicles. And it’s simple. We load the data and set it up. Which takes away the burden of setting up new software.”
TomTom WORK users can upgrade to the full FleetCheck package. This provides more extensive business car management tools – including the administration of private cars used on business; no cost accident management; and fuel card data input with mpg reports.
