LONG-TIME cycling supporter, ŠKODA, has once again renewed its support for the sport, by providing 18 Skoda vehicles to the 300-mile London to Paris endurance bike ride.
The event, which started yesterday and will finish in the French capital tomorrow, attracts 450 riders across three stages – and is billed as a mini Tour de France for cycle-mad members of the public.
As official car sponsor, ŠKODA will supply a fleet of ŠKODA Octavia Estate and ŠKODA Superb Estate models to lead each speed group and transport a 260-strong crew of mechanics, marshals, outriders and sports therapists over the three-day event.
The gruelling ride set off from Hampton Court on the outskirts of London yesterday morning (26 June), and will finish at the Eiffel Tower tomorrow.
