RAC Business Services has appointed Roger Williams as sales director to head up a strengthened sales team to grow the business.

The vastly experienced Williams is a coup for the RAC, arriving as he does from the rival AA where he was business services director.

Williams has spent the last 15 years at the AA in B2B roles and prior to that was employed at the Lombard Group in various B2B and motoring finance roles.

Williams, who will be based at the RAC’s Birmingham HQ, said: “I believe the RAC has a progressive approach to meeting the demands of businesses, fleets and motor manufacturers and is embracing the future of the industry with developments in areas such as telematics.

“The RAC is in a strong place and I look forward to being part of the growth of the business this year.”

Williams replaces Jenny Powley who retired in 2016.
