Jaguar C-X17 SUV concept – designed to demonstrate the different sorts of vehicles Jaguar can spin off its new modular aluminium architecture

SO this is what a Jaguar SUV looks like.

In concept form at least.

This, the Jaguar C-X17, is due to be unveiled on 09 September, prior to the Frankfurt Show.

Jaguar has always been short of an SUV. Well, it’s been short of a small car to fit below the fabulous XF, too.

And a car like the Jaguar C-X17 would really fit the bill on the SUV front – more an elevated estate than a full-on SUV.

Jaguar is saying precious little.

Except that the Jaguar C-X17 has been designed to showcase Jaguar’s new modular aluminium architecture that can be used to underpin a variety of new vehicles (step forward that small saloon).

No doubt we’ll know more about the Jaguar C-X17 after its official unveil.

In addition to the Jaguar C-X17, Jaguar will also show its recently launched R performance models – the XJR and XFR-S – and the estate car XF Sportbrake and F-TYPE roadster at the Frankfurt Show.
