When you run your own successful business, you can choose what car you want...

Author: Sam Hardy

Winner:  Range Rover Evoque SD4

What better way to reward yourself than with the UK’s most desirable car? The great thing about the Evoque is that despite all the hype, Land Rover has delivered – it carves a new sector of the market and lives up to the company’s brand values. The Evoque is a concept car made real, but it’s great to drive too with all the off-road ability of other, more expensive, models in the range. The 190bhp 2.2-litre diesel matched to a smooth six-speed auto is a great combination while the interior mixes high-class materials and design with practicality. It’s a winner.

Range Rover Evoque, winner of the It's my business and I'll buy what I want to category
Range Rover distilled: new Evoque is everything a successful small business owner could want

Commended: Audi Q5 3.0TDI

Powerful, smooth and precise, the Q5 is an admirable and desirable cross-over. It’s no Evoque-style head-turner but it’s still a classy product.

Commended: BMW 640d

Fast, thrilling and yet relaxing to drive, the 640d is one of the best coupes BMW has ever made. Oh, and it does 51mpg too, so you get plenty of business mileage for your money.

Commended:  Porsche Panamera Diesel

The Panamera can do over 800miles on a single tank with four passengers on board – and it’s also a proper Porsche on a twisty road too. You’ll love it.
