IF running an SME small fleet is your responsibility you should definitely make a note in your diary for November 17th. That’s the day the brand new SEAT Arona is launched, and the day you can start reducing your costs. .

According to automotive data experts, cap, over the first three years the new Entry-level Arona SE 1.0 TSI 95PS is estimated to be at least £50 per month cheaper than rival compact crossovers. That means the whole life cost for the new Arona is just 51pence per mile.

That figure is based on fuel economy, servicing and maintenance costs, and the residual value of the car after three years or 60,000 miles – an impressive 41%. When it’s all added up the new SEAT Arona comes out on top. Who wouldn’t want to minimise the cost of their next vehicles without having to compromise on quality?

SEAT UK Head of Fleet and Business Sales, Peter McDonald, commented:

“At every stage of its development we’ve looked to make the Arona a compact crossover that does things differently: giving drivers a dynamic, stylish car to enjoy without compromising on providing businesses with competitive pricing and exceptional whole-life costs.”

As well as being competitive on price it should also be a popular choice for the intended drivers too.

Amongst company car drivers a compact crossover is already the first choice of many, and the new SEAT Arona has been one of the most eagerly awaited since it was revealed earlier this year. It’s stylish, roomy, versatile, and well equipped. It also offers a range of petrol and diesel engines with good fuel economy and emissions.

Even the Entry-level Arona SE 1.0 TSI 95PS comes with cruise control, DAB infotainment system with Bluetooth handsfree connectivity, and a host of driver aids and safety features. It can return up to 57mpg, and with emissions of 111g/km the BIK rate is just 21%. It’s exactly the kind of car business drivers prefer, the outstanding whole life cost is just a bonus.

The new Arona will be available in six trim levels, and SEAT has simplified the decision process so all you need to choose is the trim level, engine, and colour. No options list, no added extras, just one price based on those three simple choices. It’s an unusual approach from an industry that loves an added extra, but the aim was to simplify the process and that’s exactly what it does.

It also makes it easier to keep track of the P11D value of the cars in your business. With no options list to complicate the issue it means your tax calculations are just that little bit simpler. It’s good news for everyone.

Order books for the SEAT Arona are now open ahead of its official UK launch on 17th November.
