Flexi rental is a product from daily rental companies that helps your business run company cars without any long term commitment.

It’s particularly useful if you have a short-term requirement for a company car for a specific project but don’t want the full-blown commitment of a three-year contract hire business car lease. An alternative is for new starters during their probation period when it would be a risk to the business to commit to a fully funded company car before the new employee has proved themselves.

Another reason to use flexi rentals is to keep staff motivated with new cars on a regular basis, which is behind the launch of Sixt’s new Flexi Rent service. Provided by car rental firm Sixt,  its Flexi Rent programme allows low mileage users to have all of the benefits of contract hire without the long lead times and lengthy contract periods.

“We know that times are tough for many businesses, and that making a commitment to a long-term contract a daunting prospect,” says Sixt managing director Paul McLoughlin. “The product enables businesses to take advantage of ever-changing offers on high quality vehicles on more accessible 6-12 month terms.”

Contract hire and leasing broker firms also often provide a similar service called flexi lease, providing short-term business car lease on a three to six month basis.
