SUBARU has reduced the price of all XV crossover models by £2300.

That means the range now starts at £18,995 for the entry-level 1.6i S, and stretches to £27,695 for the diesel-powered 2.0D SE Lux Premium.

All XV models get full 4WD

All XV models are still equipped with a full all-wheel drive system as standard – a feature that costs extra on most rival models in the compact crossover market.

Subaru says it has been able to reduce the price of the XV because of a softening in the value of the Japanese Yen compared with Sterling. The strength of the Yen has made life very difficult for the main Japanese importers in the UK market in recent years.

Haydn Davies, Marketing Director, Subaru UK, said: “Compared to rivals, the XV is one of the most robust and most economical cars available.

“We have taken the first opportunity to re-price the model given the changes to exchange rates and believe the price reduction now gives customers the greatest value for their money.”
