Volkswagen will unveil two new versions of the Caddy van at this year’s CV show in April.

The long-wheelbase Caddy Maxi will be displayed alongside an environmentally friendly concept, the Caddy BlueMotion.

The all-new Caddy Maxi creates a new class of compact van for Volkswagen between the Caddy and Transporter ranges.

All three derivatives of the new Caddy Maxi range will be on display: panel van, window van and seven-seat passenger-carrying Life.

Caddy Maxi is 470mm longer than the standard Caddy and offers a larger load capacity of 4.2cu m with a payload of 800kg.

The Caddy BlueMotion concept uses advanced technology to improve fuel consumption and lower emissions. BlueMotion technology is already available on the VW Polo hatchback. It will be introduced across the entire car and LCV range.

The CV show runs from April 15-17 at Birmingham’s NEC.
