Two special editions of the Vauxhall ADAM city car come in chic white and black paint jobs and are meant to evoke smartphone designs

SMARTPHONES on wheels – that’s how Vauxhall is describing the latest ADAM special editions, the ADAM Black Edition and the ADAM White Edition.

The new cars’ “I’ll be Black” and “Saturday White Fever” paint jobs with brushed aluminium surfaces for trim parts such as the door mirror housings are designed to evoke the cool designs of the latest mobile handsets.

The Vauxhall ADAM Black Edition and the ADAM White Edition also get Vauxhall’s IntelliLink infotainment system and Siri Eyes Free voice control which can be used with later models of iPhone.

Duncan Aldred, Chairman and Managing Director, Vauxhall Motors said “The ADAM combines innovative technologies with countless personalisation possibilities which are not available in its segment. With these new models, our urban chic city car once again shows that it is the best connected small car and a true individualisation champion all wrapped up in one.”

The two special editions both have 1.4-litre petrol engines giving a combined 51.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 130g/km. Only 250 cars will be made and they will be sold at £14,995.
