The new Volkswagen Passat may be marginally smaller than the outgoing model but it’s now considerably more spacious inside.
And that’s mainly down to the new saloon being based on VW Group’s MQB platform, which helps the Passat shed around 85kg of weight.
Like before, a range of petrol and diesel engines will be available, with VW also adding a new 2.0-litre Bi-turbo engine to the range.
Saloon and estate body styles will be available as well as the more coupe-like CC variant.
