AUTOGLASS has appointed Tim Camm as technical training manager to lead a team of 25 technical trainers and four distribution centre trainers across the U.K.

He will be responsible for delivering Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) awareness training to all technicians at Autoglass.

Tim brings a wealth of experience to Autoglass, having worked in the vehicle glass repair and replacement (VGRR) industry for 34 years, including 20 years in training and 10 years as an IMI assessor.

He is a member of Thatcham’s ADAS Repair Group and consequently Autoglass now have even greater representation on the influential working group who recently published the first Code of Practice for calibrating ADAS after a windscreen replacement.

Autoglass was pivotal in the document’s creation having worked in partnership with Thatcham on its inception, correct calibration of ADAS equipment such as cameras sighting through windscreens being critical to their safe and efficient performance.

Commenting on his appointment, Tim said: “Having worked in the industry for many years, I am delighted to finally have the opportunity to join Autoglass.

“As the market leader and the big brand Autoglass not only has the best tools and equipment in the industry, but also a superb training programme and an incredible team of technicians who are so passionate about what they do. It’s a really exciting base for me to work from.”
