Business Car Manager changes to Business Motoring
BUSINESS Car Manager, the SME focused online motoring title, is changing to Business Motoring.
The change in title reflects the need to further engage Business Car Manager’s growing SME audience. It will identify the title more closely with the SME business sector.
The title changes from Business Car Manager to Business Motoring today (July 13, 2018).
Nick Ratcliffe, Publishing Director of Business Car Manager Ltd, explained the rationale behind the change:
“We researched visitors to our stand at the London Motor Show and it became clear that they understood Business Motoring was more closely aligned with their requirements as small business owners and directors of SME firms.
“Having clarity in the online space is essential to deliver our high quality content to readers and assist in digital engagement with our advertisers.”
Business Car Manager was launched in June 2006 by journalist Ralph Morton delivering online news and essential business motoring advice on areas such as company car tax and car leasing to the SME sector, rather than the crowded fleet sector.
Its specialism and authority in the sector has grown and now services 600,000 visitors a year. Its top 10 stories have an average dwell time in excess of 3 minutes.
“While the title is changing, the editorial focus remains rock solid: providing the best tax, leasing and car information for the SME sector,” added Editorial Director, Ralph Morton.
Business Motoring is a trading title of Business Car Manager Ltd.
The media group’s other titles include Business Vans; Industry Intelligence; Leasing Broker News; and the newly acquired Motor Trade News.
…as we relaunch Motor Trade News
AS if the change of title to Business Motoring wasn’t enough, our media group has acquired Motor Trade News.
The site has been upgraded and redesigned. It will provide crucial reading for both the franchise and non-franchise UK dealer network.
There will be specific areas of interest for senior managers in the dealer network along with essential reading for them and all their dealership employees.
Nick Ratcliffe, Publishing Director of Business Car Manager Limited commented:
“The UK Dealer network is central to the automotive industry and bringing Motor Trade News into our group ensures we can now connect all the parties involved with acquiring a vehicle from SMEs and business drivers to van owners and operators while also connecting dealers and leasing brokers.”
Motor Trade News launches on July 24, 2018. Its new editor will be Chris Wright.
“Chris is an extremely experienced journalist with high-level editorial experience of the sector. Chris will bring his industry insight to the website, along with a new, more web-literate style to the sector,” added Ralph Morton, Editorial Director, Business Car Manager Ltd. Free fuel – do you still do it?
It might sound great, the idea of not having to pay for any fuel. But the reality is this: if you take free fuel you will pay tax on it. And the cost of the tax is usually greater than the benefit. More here.
