HI-TECH gadgetry and a gentle tax load are the biggest pitches being made to company car drivers by the new SEAT Ibiza sporty small hatchback.
Covers came off the new car at the recent Barcelona Motor Show while it received its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (25 to 28 June) where the new Ibiza formed the centrepiece of the SEAT stand (below):
But away from the razzmatazz it’s the array of technology inside the new SEAT Ibiza cabin, plus a CO2 emission rating of just 88g/km, that will grab most of the headlines.
New SEAT Ibiza tax buster
- Low emission TDI engine
- 88g/km CO2
- 16% company car tax band
Connectivity is a central factor in today’s mobile digital communications world and a focal for SEAT in developing its models.
In the new Ibiza, the Spanish brand is using the second generation of its Easy Connect infotainment systems. The new MediaSystem plus and satellite navigation system can be enhanced with the MirrorLink function, which claims seamless smartphone integration into the car infotainment system.
On top of phone functions and a wide range of apps to be used safely inside the car, SEAT has developed its own app for MirrorLink, called SEAT DriveApp.
