THERE’S a new hot seat owner at Peugeot with the arrival of Stephane Le Guevel, who takes over as managing director from the beginning of April.
Stephane has put down his chopsticks – he was deputy managing director of Dongfeng Peugeot, the company’s joint venture operation in China – before coming here to try a taste of all things British.
He joins at a good time.
Peugeot retail sales jumped in January and there’s a new range of Peugeot product either arrived or on the horizon, such as the new Peugeot 108 and the recently launched Peugeot 308.
Before his stint in China, Stephane Le Guevel had posts with Peugeot as managing director of Peugeot’s subsidiary in Belgium (2009-2011), in Russia (2004-2009) and director of marketing in Poland (2000 – 2004).
“I am really looking forward to the new opportunity ahead of me in what is one of the top markets for Peugeot in the world,” said Stephane (46).
Current Peugeot MD, Tim Zimmerman, is leaving the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group.
