SsangYong Tivoli first in new family of models

LIKE the look of the new SsangYong Tivoli? Good, as we’re going to see more of the same coming until the end of this decade.

Why? Well, the revitalised Korean company has pledged to launch a new car every year till then and Business Car Manager has been told by senior executives at SsangYong these will be based on the new Volkswagen MQB-like adaptable platform that underpins the SsangYong Tivoli.

First of these new models will be a production version of the maxi-Tivoli, the XLV Air concept, that made its debut at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show.

Other news revealed by Ssangyong includes the development of a 1.5-litre litre turbo petrol engine, plus diesel hybrid and electric versions of this new SUV that will be revealed in due course.
