The new BMW 1-series Coupe goes on sale in November.
There will be three engine choices.
Two are diesel: a 120d and twin turbo 123d.
And one petrol: the 135i.
The 1325i has a 306hp 3.0-litre straight-six twin turbo engine.
The 123d is the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder diesel.
The unit produces 204hp and 400Nm torque. Yet its fuel economy is 54.3mpg.
The key BMW 1-series coupe model for business car drivers, though, is the 120d model. It has emissions of 128g/km, placing it in the 18% company car tax banding. Fuel economy is 58.9mpg.
Like the 123d model, the 120d features BMW’s EfficientDynamics technology – Auto Stop-Start, Brake Energy Regeneration, and Electric power Steering – to provide fuel savings.
