Company Car Review of the Smart ForFour
What is it?
Axed from production back in 2006, Smart has reintroduced the ForFour city car.
A rival for the likes of the VW Up! and Hyundai i10, the all-new second-generation model should have the impetus to succeed thanks to the adoption of a new engines, chassis and exterior design.
Developed alongside the recently introduced Renault Twingo, the ForFour shares around 70 per cent of its running gear with the French city car. They use the same chassis, rear-mounted engines and suspension components as each other.
Visually is where the two differ. In keeping with Smart’s bold and brave design philosophy, the ForFour adopts a more upright stance, with stronger lines and a distinctive front-end.
The cabin design is such as adventurous, with brightly coloured textured fabrics, a floating seven-inch infotainment system and versatile storage options.
