4 – Parking locator and weather information
Park&Pay – a world first provided by Volvo Cars – allows drivers to find and pay for parking at their destination, by enabling the car to communicate with its surroundings.
The connected system allows drivers to discover new restaurants, or even learn what weather they may encounter at their destination, too.
5 – Seven-inch touchscreen
Internet browsing, navigation and music streaming are all controlled via the car’s seven-inch dashboard-mounted touchscreen.
However, unlike models from rival manufacturers, the Volvo Sensus system uses infrared, beam-scanned technology that allows you to operate the screen even when wearing gloves – another world first in cars.
6 – Cloud technology
Volvo Cars has invested heavily in cloud-based online solutions, to allow remote content update – instead of needing manual modernisation via dealer or mobile technician.
This means Volvo can provide content updates seamlessly, without any input from the user – much like an app on your smartphone.
