We’ve seen the hatchback and the coupe; now here’s the estate version of SEAT’s highly successful Leon

SEAT Leon ST 1.6 TDI SE 105PS company car review

What is it?

The SEAT Leon ST is the third model in the smart Leon range. There’s the Leon five-door hatch, the Leon SC three-door, and now this – the ST estate model – which goes on sale this month (January 2014).

The Leon ST is available in three trims – S, SE and FR – and with a range of petrol and diesel engines, including the SEAT Leon ST car under review here – the 1.6 diesel SE model.

This has 105PS power and just 99g/km CO2 emissions for a company car tax banding of 15% in the 2014/15 tax year.

The car is a five-speed manual, although you can opt for the smooth-shifting DSG auto box. The latter means you don’t have to shift a stick to change gear but the penalty is slightly higher CO2 emissions (102g/km) and a 16% company car tax band.

P11D prices for the SEAT Leon ST range start at £16,620 for the 1.2 TSI S rising to £24,575 for the 2.0 TDI FR DSG auto. The Leon ST SE 1.6 TDI costs £19,440 –£825 more than the equivalent five door hatch.
