A SEAT Fleet Excellence programme is being rolled out, delivered through dealers, designed to improve the service offered to businesses.

With SEAT Fleet having experienced four consecutive years of growth, the Fleet Excellence programme and additional funding aims to make business sales a more attractive proposition for the dealer network while improving the business driver buying experience even further.

For dealerships to be eligible they would have to sell more than 100 units to fleets of 40 or more vehicles. Eligible dealerships will be provided with £12,000 a year to support the costs associated with fleet management, administration and systems support.

Dealership staff will receive training in the programme’s direct invoicing system to leasing companies and fleet customers, which should streamline and make the customer journey more transparent.

Dealers on the programme will have to meet set standards on vehicle availability, including accurate vehicle forecasting, handover experience and staff training.

Peter McDonald, head of fleet and business sales, commented: “Fleet customers rightfully expect a good handover and service, but by supporting dealers with the necessary incentives and infrastructure, we can improve that level of service even more.

“The Fleet Excellence programme is built to make fleet sales more viable for our dealer network, and will encourage dealerships to make it a more significant part of their business going forward.”
