Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly looking for safety-related services to help them run their business fleets.
That’s according to apd – a consultancy firm that runs the quarterly ‘Landmark’ surveys, which incorporates feedback from SMEs. The Landmark survey found accident management, fleet management, online management reporting and rental services have all increased in importance since the same period in 2007.
“Closer investigation into the reasons for these changes confirmed that SMEs were aware of legislation on Corporate Manslaughter. SMEs are now looking at the availability of accident management and fleet management services to help them run their fleets more efficiently and safely,” commented Paul Turner, managing director, apd.
In other areas, SME fleets were requiring similar services to larger fleets, suggesting increasing sophistication on the part of SME fleets.
Key areas required included funding solutions; outsourcing solutions; and rental services.
