RYAN Godfrey has been appointed by vGroup International to head up its one-stop shop vComms division.

Godfrey has been promoted from customer services manager at vGroup International where he served for three years.

Last year, vComms fitted more than 10,000 vehicles with a wide range of accessories that included its revolutionary polypropylene light commercial vehicle lining panels, traditional ply lining, tow bars, racking systems, roof vents, lighting and electrical features as well as dead locks, door slam locks, rear window security grills and blanks, armaplates, dashboard cameras and livery requirements.

vComms is one of vGroup International’s largest divisions. It has a national fit policy via a fleet of 35 mobile vans and technicians, menu pricing and low complexity product range.

Godfrey said:

“One call, one quote and immediate fitment nationally with vComms ‘we come to you’ service limits vehicle movements. Frequently a dealer can deliver a van to a customer only to then have to arrange for the vehicle to be returned for accessory fitment. Alternatively, dealers will move vans to a third party prior to onward delivery to a client.

“Vehicle movements add to costs for both dealers and customers and with different suppliers frequently handling the required accessory fitment standards of workmanship can vary. vComms delivers consistency of product quality, price and fitment nationally.”

vComms’ customers include: Lex Autolease, LeasePlan UK, Arval UK, Zenith, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, the Ministry of Defence, facility management and engineering maintenance solutions company Arcus Solutions (Holdings), international logistics company Gefco and CBRE, the world’s leading real estate adviser.

Replacing Mr Godfrey as head of customer service is Linda Chambers, previously a vComms account executive.
