RENAULT has released further details of the third-generation Twingo model which is due to go on sale in late September.
The new Renault Twingo aims to recapture some of the flair of the first-generation car, which was never sold officially in the UK.
One radical change for the new Renault Twingo – a rear-mounted engine, the first time this layout has been used in a small car from a European manufacturer in decades, although Volkswagen did also consider it for the Up.
Another point of interest – the Renault Twingo also forms the basis for a new family of Smart models for Daimler.
All Renault Twingos will have five doors, and there’s a special folding front seat system, as well as the usual folding rear seat.
