Overall, the new Renault Twingo is shorter but much roomier than its predecessor.
There’s a choice of two three-cylinder petrol engines in the new Renault Twingo – a 1.0-litre producing 70 horsepower and a 0.9-litre turbo that’s good for 90 PS – which make for lower emissions and better economy than before. Up to 67 MPG and emissions as low as 95g/km are on offer as well.
All Twingos will get Renault’s new smartphone-based R & GO system, which, thanks to a free app, provides access to navigation, phone, multimedia and trip computer functions, including Internet radio.
Safety systems such as electronic stability control and hill hold are standard too.
Prices for the new Renault Twingo start at £9,495 for a base 70 PS Expression model, and rise to £11,695 for a top of the range 90 PS Dynamique with fuel-saving Stop & Start technology.
