Business Car Manager Verdict
There aren’t many two seater cars around that you could realistically drive to work every day, but Peugeot has managed to produce one with the RCZ R.
It joins the Audi TT and Toyota GT86 as pretty much the only options available, but slots itself in to a sweet spot between them.
The Audi ends up costing quite a lot more once it’s been specced to similar level, while the much cheaper GT86 might be great fun but lags a long way behind on performance.
Combined with some impressive economy figures that a driver should be able to get reasonably close to under normal driving, lowish CO2 values and that middling £32,000 price tag and it starts to make a pretty compelling case for itself.
Add in the amount of smiling you’ll be doing at weekends and it starts to almost look good value.
It would be a brave buyer indeed who walked past the Audi dealership and stopped off at Peugeot, but with just 300 Rs coming in to the UK each year you’ll have both performance and exclusivity that the German rival just can’t match.
