The Hyundai Santa Fe: makes you feel special

Hyundai Santa Fe: facts, figures, likes and dislikes

P11D – 35,030

Company car tax – £181 per month for a basic rate tax payer

Official mpg – 41.5 mpg

Our average mpg – 38mpg over  1500 miles

We like – long distance travelling experience, luxury specification, seven seat flexibility, thoughtful design touches

We don’t like – No DAB digital radio, CO2 emissions on the rich side (178g/km), drivers seat could offer more support

There are plenty of detail features that I really appreciate.

But I particularly like the keyless entry. As you approach the car it unlocks, and the door handle is backlit.

It’s a truly thoughtful feature, especially at night.

In terms of driving, I’ve nearly got 40mpg out of it, but what I like from the engine is its quiet, unfussed work below the bonnet that imparts such a sense of calm, but when you need some overtaking oomph, there’s plenty of get-up-and-go torque.

For business owners or directors who want to tow a boat, the 422Nm is what you need. And torque on demand 4WD provides the grip when required too.

Above all else, this big Hyundai makes you feel special. And that’s good.
