The new Vauxhall Meriva looks better than before, but more important is the new diesel. It’s far more refined, and easier on your company car tax as well

Business Car Manager Verdict

The new Meriva looks better than the previous car and the new 1.6 diesel engine has transformed the car’s refinement. It has also made the new Meriva a highly competitive choice for a company car driver with a young family.

Whether you prefer these hinged coach doors or sliding doors from rivals – well, try them out before making a decision (the new Meriva gets Vauxhall’s three day test drive policy). But the new Meriva certainly doesn’t lack for well thought-through practicality. It also has German AGR certification for healthy backs, too.

However, this SE trim is on the pricey side, so if you’re hooked on the Meriva, then consider either Exclusiv trim (no alloys) or Tech Line (alloys, but no FlexRail) before signing on the dotted.
