BUSY day for Vauxhall with the launch of two cars in quick succession. The first of which is the new range-topping Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer.
The latest addition to the all-new Insignia range, the Country Tourer is more spacious than previous models, and comes with a wide range of innovative technologies.
From the heights of Vauxhall’s passenger car range, the Insignia Country Tourer will be taking aim at rivals such as the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack and the Audi Allroad.
“The Country Tourer takes the Insignia story a step further. With its all-wheel-drive capability, raised ground clearance and rugged appearance, it adds another important dimension to the new Insignia range,” said Stuart Harris, Vauxhall’s Head of Carline Brand.
The Country Tourer was designed to be elegant yet rugged. An extremely practical car with off-road capability and lots of useful load space, but retaining an upmarket interior with high quality materials.
The wheelbase has increased by 92mm meaning there is not only more load space, but more room for a luxurious cabin.
The new Insignia Country Tourer comes with premium ergonomic front seats and heated outer rear seats, heated windscreen and heated steering wheel. It also boasts a wide range of driver aids and connectivity that keep it bang up to date with its rivals.
The new Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer boasts all-wheel-drive technology, improved ground clearance, and a new eight-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is also available.
Initially available with Vauxhall’s 2.0-litre, 167bhp Turbo Diesel that offers combined mileage of 51.4mpg and an entirely reasonable 145g/km CO2. A more powerful 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo D with 207bhp will also appear some time in December.
The new Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer is on sale now priced from £25,635.
