SO, here we go: the first production photograph of the Tesla Model 3 revealed, the company’s all-electric rival to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
Taken by Tesla founder Elon Musk and revealed on his Twitter account over the weekend, the first models have come off the Gigafactory line in Nevada, US.
Half a million customers have already ordered the Tesla Model 3, such has been the interest Stateside in this compact saloon. Prices start at around £28,000 in the States.
The Tesla Model 3 joins the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X in the all-electric line up.
With an expected 200+ mile range on its battery, and the lowest level of company car tax, business interest in the Tesla Model 3 is expected to be high for company car drivers.
However, first UK deliveries won’t start until 2018.
