BUSINESS drivers looking for a versatile workhorse with low emissions for low tax, that doubles as a sporty family estate, are the target for Renault’s new Megane Sport Tourer, on sale from 1 December priced from £18,550.
The all-new Renault Megane Sport Tourer comes in six trim levels with four engine sizes and prices ranging from £18,550, for the Expression+ TCe 130 up to £27,450 for top-of-the-range GT Nav 205 Auto EDC. There will also be two further engine options on offer in 2017 – a 1.5 litre dCi hybrid assist and a dCi 165.
Attractive to business users, the Megane Sport Tourer has CO2 emissions from just 96g/km and fuel economy of up to 76.4mpg for low benefit in kind taxes.
The Sport Tourer engine choices are two Energy TCe turbocharged petrol options with capacities and power outputs of 1.2-litre/130hp (manual and EDC) and 1.6-litre/205hp (GT only – EDC).
The turbodiesel alternatives are a 1.5-litre dCi 110 unit, with manual or EDC transmission, or a 1.6-litre dCi 130 engine.
The Megane Sport Tourer has Two dCi and two TCe engines with manual & EDC transmissions, it is unique-in-class and offers technologies such as 4Control four-wheel-steering and 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system.

The Multi-Sense system has five modes to alter the driving set-up and interior ambiance – Neutral, Comfort, Eco, Perso and Sport.
Multi-Sense can be used to modify the response of the accelerator pedal and engine, engine sound, steering weight and interior lighting ambience through a choice of five colours.
Built at the Palencia plant in Spain alongside Kadjar, the Megane Sport Tourer has a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating and high levels of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard.
Safety and convenience features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, safe distance warning, handsfree parking and 360-degree parking sensors.
The flagship GT-Line comes with a comprehensive specification and is distinguished by dark metal 17-inch alloy wheels, door mirror housings and rear diffuser enhancements. It offers customers the choice between a luxurious or sporty spec and is capable of 0-62mph in 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 145mph.
The new Renaults are covered by a four-year warranty with no mileage limit for the first two years.
