When it hits the road next month, the new Kia cee’d range will start from £14,395.
Two petrol and two diesel engines are featured and comprise a 98bhp 1.4-litre petrol, 1.6-litre petrol with 133bhp, an 89bhp 1.4-litre diesel and a 126bhp 1.6-litre diesel and five specification levels: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 4 Tech. There’s a six-speed manual or six-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox across the model range.
Standard includes air conditioning, front electric windows and door mirrors, daytime running lights, a cooled glovebox and Bluetooth, iPod and USB connectivity. Hill start assist also makes the line-up.
Mid-spec ‘2’ cars from £16,395 feature 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear centre armrest, all-round electric windows, cruise control with speed limiter and reversing sensors, and £18,995 ‘3’ models add tinted windows, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a seven-inch touchscreen sat-nav system and a reverse parking camera.
Cars carrying the ‘4’ badge from £20,595 have 17-inch alloys, black leather front seats, heated steering wheel, electronic parking brake, stop-start, while full-fat ‘4 Tech’ models add a panoramic sunroof, ‘Parallel Parking Assist System’ and Xenon adaptive front lights and start from £22,495.
