This is the curvaceous and all-new Honda CR-V.

The new Honda CR-V promises to deliver a more sophisticated and saloon-like driving experience yet provide 4×4 practicality.

It features improved equipment levels and Honda’s latest advanced safety technologies. Two active safety systems are unique to the SUV segment.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), maintains a set distance to the vehicle in front; Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) predicts collisions and warns the driver, before applying corrective braking action.

In addition there is standard Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) together with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) to ensure towing safety is continuously monitored and corrected.

Inside there is better load space. The rear seats can tumble forward. This extends the area to accommodate two mountain bikes. Options include leather seats, front and rear parking sensors and rear view camera.

There is a new 2.0-litre petrol engine, while diesel offers better economy. Six speed gearboxes are standard.

The key points of the new CR-V are:

    • New, less upright styling
    • New 150PS 2.0-litre petrol engine
    • More economical 140PS 2.2-litre i-CTDi diesel
    • Unique in class safety features
    • On sale from January 2007
