The Audi TT sports car will gain a new derivative this summer with a diesel-engined model.
The Audi TT TDI will benefit from a 2.0-litre common rail diesel engine.
The diesel engine produces 170PS and punchy torque of 350Nm. Fuel economy is 53.3mpg (Coupe) and 513mpg (Roadster). But the big news is the sports car’s low tax rating.
The new diesel engine makes the Audi TT TDI highly tax-efficient. With CO2 emissions of just 140g/km, the new Audi TT TDI Coupe qualifies in the 19% tax band for the 2008/09 tax year.
The Audi TT TDI Roadster has emissions of 145g/km, placing it a band higher, with a 20% tax rating.
The new Audi TT TDI Coupe and Audi TT TDI Roadster go on sale this summer; orders commence March.
