Vauxhall will launch the new Agila city car in April.

The Agila is a five-door compact hatchback.

Two engines – the 65PS 1.0-litre petrol engine, and the 75PS 1.3CDTi diesel – will have emissions below 120g/km.

This means both engines qualify for the new reduced 10% tax band rating which commences with the 2008/09 tax year. See company car taxation table.

The car will seat five, while fold-down rear seats increase the Agila’s everyday practicality.

New Vauxhall Agila

  • 1.0-litre 65PS three-cylinder petrol
  • 1.2-litre 85PS petrol with optional auto
  • 1.3-litre 75PSCDTi diesel
  • Prices from £7595
  • On sale from April
