Latest Mercedes C-Class is a big improvment on the outgoing model, as you’d expect

Company Car Review of the Mercedes-Benz C250 BlueTEC AMG LINE Saloon

What is it?

HERE’S Mercedes’ new C-Class saloon in upspec C250 AMG trim and with the company’s efficient, business friendly 2.1-litre turbodiesel providing the power.

True to form, the new C-Class, codenamed W205, is a major set up, raising the bar on the outgoing C-Class in a multitude of ways. Visually sharper while also lighter, safer, more efficient, more technically advanced, just as you’d expect.

We’ve already reviewed the new C-Class in some depth, putting the new C220 BlueTec AMG saloon through its paces at the launch earlier on this year,

This C250 moves things up a gear with more speed and torquier version of the same 2.1-litre turbodiesel but still with all the rational values that makes the C-Class such a compelling company car.

Add in AMG bodystyling touches and 18-inch alloy wheels, and you have one of the more spirited versions of the new “Baby Benz” currently out there.

With £35,455 P11D rating and C02 emissions of 113 g/kms, the C250 sets out its stall. For the company car driver, could it actually be the pick of the new range?
