Marsh returns to Nissan UK aftersales director role as Verneuil heads marketing

NISSAN Motor (GB) has announced Chris Marsh returns to being Nissan UK aftersales director, effective June 1, 2017, after nearly two years as marketing director – a position now held by Nicolas Verneuil.

Chris has held a variety of senior marketing, sales operations and dealer network development roles at Nissan and was previously aftersales director 2012-2015.

He brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the role.

Chris said: “Nissan has seen significant and consistent growth in sales and vehicle parc over the last five years which presents a huge aftermarket opportunity for the network.

“I look forward to developing this further and driving dealer profitability, whilst also ensuring we provide the highest level of service to our customers.”

Nissan Motor (GB) managing director Alex Smith added: “Chris is a highly experienced member of the senior Nissan management team with a strong aftersales background.

“I’m delighted that he will be heading up the aftersales team to drive quality, strengthen operations and increase revenues.”

Nicolas Verneuil is the new marketing director, with responsibility for developing Nissan’s marketing strategy in the UK.

He returns to the UK after six years working in a variety of marketing roles for Nissan in Canada and across Europe, including most recently as advanced marketing strategy & performance planning general manager in Europe.

He has previously worked at Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd as sales performance manager and retail marketing manager, before moving to Canada as chief marketing senior manager for saloon cars, and later to Europe as cross carline marketing manager and customer experience general manager.

Nicolas said: “Nissan has seen significant and consistent growth in sales performance and consumer brand opinion in the UK over the last five years.

“With great products and campaigns in the pipeline, I look forward to building on this positive momentum, working together with the whole Nissan team, agency and dealer partners, to deliver innovation and excitement to our customers.”
