The Mazda6 was already a highly efficient performer – now it’s been tweaked here and there and is better still

MAZDA has tweaked the already highly efficient SKYACTIV 2.2-litre diesels on the recently-introduced Mazda6 to deliver lower emissions and improved economy.

Company car drivers can have driving fun with low emissions and first class economy due to our SKYACTIV technology

For company car drivers, that translates into tax savings of up to £100 or more per year, depending on model.

On the Saloon, combined cycle fuel consumption improves by 5.1 mpg to 72.4 mpg, while the Tourer estate now turns in 67.3 mpg, 3.1 mpg better than before. CO2 emissions are now 104g/km for the Saloon and 110g/km for the Tourer – improvements of 4 and 6g/km respectively.

For a Mazda6 Saloon in entry-level SE trim with a list price of £21,995 on the road, the lower emissions mean a company car tax saving of £3.66 a month for a lower-rate taxpayer and £7.31 per month for a higher rate-payer.

There are bigger savings for the more expensive Mazda6 Tourer and cars with higher trim levels. The Tourer also drops a band for the purposes of road tax, saving £10 per year from the second year onwards.

Steve Tomlinson, Mazda’s Head of Fleet, said:“The new Mazda6 is the no compromise choice for company car drivers.
