GOOD to hear that leasing companies are actively supporting BCA’s ‘Paris Challenge’, a charity bike ride in aid of ‘Action for A-T’. A-T or Ataxia Telangiectasia, is a rare, genetic degenerative childhood disease.
Riders on the 400km challenge will leave BCA Blackbushe – the UK’s largest auction centre – in September and will finish in Paris, where BCA operates one of eight French remarketing centres. The aim is to raise £30,000 to fund research into treating A-T. A team of 40 participating riders will tackle the gruelling event, with cyclists from BCA and the wider motor industry taking part.
Leasing companies ALD, Lex Autolease, LeasePlan and Olgivie are giving their backing to event, along with Toyota and Renault and some of the biggest dealer groups in the country, including Arnold Clark, Vertu, Marshall Group, Motorline, Halliwell Jones, Jardine, Ancaster, JCT600, Lookers and TC Harrison.
Insurers Aston Scott and Secure Valeting are also backing the event, while Thrifty have kindly committed to providing support vehicles for the event.
