THE business car leasing and fleet management company Arval has made changes to its executive management team.

The changes come in the wake of the sale of the AllStar fuel card business and a desire to further develop the company’s portfolio of business across all existing segments and channels, the company said.

Robert Pieczka has returned to Arval as business development and marketing director, following the sale of the fuel card business to FleetCor for £194m. Arval believes that Robert’s international experience gained during five years at Arval in Paris will support the continued implementation of best practices from across the Arval countries within the UK, including innovation initiatives.

Meanwhile Fiona Hall, formerly commercial director, has left Arval and her role has been segmented to reflect the very different needs of Arval’s corporate and SME customers.

As a result, Mike Curtis will lead the corporate sales division and Elliott Woodhead will lead the SME division and third party partnerships. Both are internal appointments and share more than 25 years of experience and success within the Arval UK business.

These new appointments join the existing Arval UK executive team members, reporting into Bart Beckers, managing director at Arval.

“We are delighted that Robert, Mike and Elliott have taken on these new challenges within the Arval UK business. They bring excellent experience, both from the UK and from across Arval, as well as a strong focus on meeting the needs of customers of all sizes and further growing the business,” commented Bart Beckers on this latest business car news from Arval.

“They will target initiatives that will reinforce our market leadership position and further capitalise on the scale and scope of our group. In doing this, we are well positioned to further differentiate from the competition, deliver the expert advice and service quality required to support our customers and drivers and continue the organic growth of our business in a competitive market environment.”

Arval has grown to reach a funded fleet size of around 90,000 business cars and business vans. The company has plans to continue this growth into the future, while leveraging the strength of Arval which operates directly in 23 countries around the world.
