Infiniti Q70 2.2-litre diesel Sport Tech review
What is it?
INFINITI hasn’t had it easy in the UK. Yet to really establish itself as a big hitter at the premium end of the market, opposition in the shape of BMW, Audi and Mercedes doesn’t help its chances of succeeding.
Yet, Infiniti is determined to fight it out and fitting its flagship and facelifted Q70 saloon with a new 2.2-litre diesel engine has opened up the market to a whole host of company car buyers. It’s the same 168bhp engine you’ll find in the smaller Q50 and returns 57.6mpg as well as 129g/km of CO2.

Up until now the Q70 has only been made available with a thirsty 3.0-litre diesel engine, punchy 3.7-litre petrol and pricey 3.5-litre hybrid model. The newcomer attracts the lowest BIK company car tax rating of the Q70 range at 21%, but is it good enough to tempt company execs out of their German saloons?
