LUXURY embellishments form SsangYong’s way of pitching to the company car market in the shape of its new range-topping five-seat Rexton W ELX.
The ‘budget’ SUV gets a number of tweaks over the standard EX model, including beige and grey leather upholstery and colour matched carpets, multi-function leather covered steering wheel and updated instrumentation.
There are also distinctive 18-inch Diamond cut alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights within the headlamp units, front parking sensors, auto-dipping rear view mirror, heated rear seats and new satellite navigation plus the option of a new Dandy blue metallic finish.
With its old-school steel ladder chassis and a 3-tonne towing capacity, the SsangYong Rexton W is gaining ground with the rural horsebox towing brigade.
Powered by SsangYong’s own 2.0-litre turbo charged e-XDi200 diesel engine, it delivers maximum power of 155PS and maximum torque of 360Nm. There is a choice of 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed Mercedes-Benz T-Tronic automatic.
Prices for the ELX start at just £27,995.
