THINKING about recovery or accident management services for your business cars? Maybe you should take a leaf out of Hitachi’s book.

Hitachi Capital is one of the UK’s biggest car leasing businesses and in addition to 63,000 vehicles already with the RAC for breakdown recovery, RAC Business Services has just been awarded a 5-year contract to provide Accident Management services to 20,000 Hitachi Capital cars and commercial vehicles.

The decision follows a £2 million investment in a new IT platform at the RAC which will speed up the process of diagnostics and repair to minimise vehicle downtime, a big issue for business car managers.

David Aldridge, RAC Business Services Director, said, ” Having invested significantly in our Accident Management service, systems, personnel and infrastructure we know that we are in the best place possible to support Hitachi”.

Tim Bowden, Head of Operations for Hitachi Capital Car solutions added, “Provided alongside the breakdown services, the appointment presents a number of opportunities for us to drive further benefits for our customers.
