A RACY Oettinger action pack bodykit and exhaust offer extra street cred to performance Golf models with headturning looks and sounds.
The German styling house’s new kits, perfected in wind tunnels, start from £3,995 for the current Mk7 Golf GTD and GTI and £5,225 for the flagship 300PS Golf R, including fitting and painting, at VW dealers.
These enhancements are for the current models as no orders are being taken for new Golfs pending launch of the Mk8 facelift in the spring.
For those wanting a sporty performer, the Oettinger kit includes a stainless steel quad exhaust and silencer system, complemented by a rear diffuser to align with the look of the Oettinger side skirts.
For all models, the exhaust tailpipe is 84mm in diameter, the system altering the exhaust note for an even more sporty sound, while the R goes a step further, with the addition of valve control for the exhaust gases.
The quad set-up means the GTD gains exhaust tailpipes on the right of the car, while the GTI increases its number of tailpipes from two to four.
Above the diffuser is a new rear roof spoiler with open flaps which underline the performance of the trio of potent Golfs.
At the front of the cars the Oettinger kit adds a new spoiler and bespoke splitter to guide air under the car effectively, in line with the carefully tuned aerodynamics of the performance Golfs.
