Hannah Bishop, Infiniti’s new fleet manager

INFINITI has a new fleet manager to cover the UK and northern Europe: Hannah Bishop.

Hannah took the post at Infiniti from February 1st.

Hannah’s appointment coincides with Infiniti’s plan for the European launch of the new Q50 saloon and the introduction of low CO2 and tax-efficient Mercedes diesel engines to the range.

Moving from Peugeot where she was national fleet key account manager, Hannah replaces Simon Lewis who left the post after 11 months in September 2012 to take up a role as strategic account manager, south east region, at Mercedes-Benz.

Hannah will report directly to Infiniti regional director Tony Lewis, with her remit covering fleet and business car sales for both the UK and Holland.

Lewis commented on Hannah Bishop’s appointment:

“We are pleased to welcome Hannah to the Infiniti team at such an exciting time for the company.

“With the imminent introduction of the all new Infiniti Q50, a premium sports saloon designed with the European market in mind, Infiniti will be able to actively compete in areas of the fleet business it has not been possible to do so before.”

The Infiniti Q50 is a sports saloon with European sales firmly in its sights

The Infiniti Q50 is going on sale in the US first this summer where it will have a 3.5-litre V6 Hybrid among its engine options.

But at the Geneva Show in March 2013, Infiniti will unveil an on-sale date for the Q50 in Europe as well as a different range of powertrains.

These are likely to include Mercedes diesel powerplants, making the Infiniti Q50 a much more appealing prospect to an SME small fleet customer and to drivers balancing desirability against a company car tax allowance.

The Infiniti Q50 is the first model in the Infiniti range with the new Infinitia designation system. Q will be used for saloons and convertibles; QX for SUV models.
