Fleet Alliance award
100% of Fleet Alliance staff said they enjoyed working there – this is one of the more formal meetings

CONGRATULATIONS to Business Car Manager partner Fleet Alliance!

At an Awards presentation in London last night, Fleet Alliance was placed 5th out of the top 25 places to work in the UK.

The Awards are an international event: Coca Cola and eBay were both there

Fleet Alliance, an SME with 36 employees, was competing against a long list of household names including Coca Cola, eBay, McDonalds, Microsoft and IKEA.

The Awards are run by the Great Place to Work Institute which also administers the Best Company to Work at in Scotland – won by Fleet Alliance earlier this year (click here).

The Great Place to Work Institute is part of the world’s biggest consultancy specialising in workplace assessment and improvement.

Every year around 6000 organizations with 10 million employees are surveyed by the Institute. The aim is to give employers insight into how their business is perceived by its employees.

The survey is based on confidential and anonymous interviews – so employees can speak freely. A series of questions builds to a ‘Trust Index’ which encompasses the quality of a workplace using criteria such as credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

Fleet Alliance scored 97%; examples of the criteria used are:

  • 100% of Fleet Alliance staff said the business had special and unique benefits
  • 100% said management genuinely sought and responded to suggestions and ideas
  • 100% said they enjoyed working for Fleet Alliance.
