Many leasing companies are waiting to apply for full FCA membership

Finding an FCA accredited leasing company

At the moment, a lot of leasing companies who have applied to the FCA are on Interim Permission – this is the stage before they are invited to apply for full or part permission to practice their trade.

It is important to check the register before you deal with your chosen company, to make sure that they are listed.

One company who are waiting to apply for full FCA permission is CarLease UK.

Managing Director, Mike King is hopeful that the new regime will benefit reputable leasing companies like themselves and also their customers;

“As an accredited Network Franchisee, we have just undergone a series of rigorous tests for our annual ‘Quality Franchisee Audit’ – we are delighted to report that we gained a ‘Certification of Excellence’

“We take our practices very seriously and welcome the FCA’s introduction; for too long, companies have been allowed to knowingly mis-advertise leasing deals. This has made it very difficult for companies like CarLease UK to compete on an even playing field.

“It has also made life difficult for SMEs who want to get a good, genuine deal with a company who they will establish a relationship and come back to year after year.

“Our customer retention rate is very high and we look forward to gaining our full FCA accreditation in October – the paperwork will be well worth it, as it will confirm our position as being part of a professional group of leasing companies who ensure that their customers get a fair deal when they are shopping for their next contract hire vehicle.”
