I’VE been running a hatchback version of the Vauxhall Insignia with this engine, and a mighty fine car it is.
There’s brilliant economy (62mpg+ on long runs; 54mpg average in mixed driving) for a car of this size, and that’s before we get onto the 98g/km CO2 emissions of the 2.0-litre 140PS engine – superior to many family hatchbacks a class below.
The rather posher sounding Insignia Sports Tourer does all of the above but in the more cargo flexible and capacious estate format.
Okay, the engine isn’t quite as economical or good on CO2 as in the hatch; but the fundamentals are the same – and all wrapped up in the elegant Sports Tourer styling.
An equally good company car choice for your staff in company car focused Tech Line trim or you as an SME director in Elite trim with all the goodies and leather.
And all delivering great value that goes with the Vauxhall badge.
