THE Ford EcoSport is Ford’s car to widen the choice of vehicles to company car drivers in the compact SUV segment – think Nissan Juke, MINI Countryman, Vauxhall Mokka.
And this is a great, distinctive and highly likeable car. Although hanging the spare wheel from the rear door might put some off.
But which is best for your company car tax money – the petrol or diesel?
You’ll pay less company car tax (only by £125) if you choose the 1.0T EcoSport model – and do you know what? It’s the better, more exciting car to drive.
One proviso: if you’re a big distance driver, then the better bet would be the diesel because of the superior fuel economy.
Otherwise it’s the brilliant 1.0T petrol EcoBoost engine that will give you hours of driving fun. And plenty of refinement on the motorway.
